The Tusano Shield Tray is a handcrafted Wooden Shield Dice Tray designed to keep rolls contained while adding atmosphere to the table.
Raised walls help prevent runaway dice while the compact footprint fits comfortably beside character sheets, books, and miniatures.
With the same finish style that Tusano Cutting Boards and Serving Trays get, it’s also food safe, making for an amazing little snack tray or bowl in a pinch, or to set the atmosphere at the table. Available in hardwood or beechwood with multiple lining options.

Unlike oversized rolling trays that dominate the table, the Wooden Shield Dice Tray focuses on personal use. It keeps dice contained, protects play surfaces, and creates a consistent rolling space without getting in the way of books, maps, miniatures, or drinks.
At the same time, the tray adds atmosphere to the table without becoming distracting or overly theatrical.
The Tusano Shield Tray helps contain dice rolls while reducing clutter during long sessions.
Its raised outer walls help prevent dice from scattering across the table, knocking into miniatures, or interrupting maps and terrain setups during gameplay.

The Tusano Shield Tray is available with several lining options depending on the feel and sound players prefer during rolling.

While natural wood interiors preserve the sharper sound and tactile response of dice rolling against hardwood, Felt-lined trays provide a softer and quieter rolling surface while also allowing for additional color customization.
Current felt color options include; Blue, Red, Black, Green and Purple. Custom felt colors available upon request.
Leather-lined trays provide a slightly heavier and more refined rolling feel and are available for additional cost
Additional customization options may include; Name engraving, Symbols, Logos, Campaign markings, and Embossment work

The Shield Tray currently comes in two primary size categories.
Are approximately 5 inches across and European Beech versions run roughly 3/16ths larger
Run approximately 7 inches across, both hardwood and Beechwood variants maintain similar overall width. Striped hardwood trays run slightly deeper due to thicker material construction

The thicker hardwood construction helps resist warping while also giving the tray a more stable feel during use. Likewise, the added mass prevents the tray from sliding easily during active sessions.
Over time, the Wooden Shield Dice Tray develops visible character through repeated handling and regular use at the table. Small marks, wear patterns, and natural aging become part of the tray itself rather than flaws to hide completely. Simply put: The tray should look like it has survived a few campaigns as it ages.
