The Tusano Trading Co is a Multi-Media Small Scale Fabrication shop, relying on Thomas and his fellow Artists to create Tavern wares (Fantasy Inspired Home Goods) and Craft stories.
We create handcrafted wooden goods designed to be used and enjoyed. From serving boards and hosting pieces to custom commissions built for kitchens, homes, and game tables, every piece is made with durability and purpose in mind.
Our work reflects a belief that everyday objects can carry personality without sacrificing function, and that Fans are made Everyday, through enthusiastic sharing of what we love most.
The general atmosphere of game night is an oft valued, but little thought of thing. It falls to the Tusano Trading Co to pick up both the aspect of paying respects to Fandom, while also serving to set atmosphere, either with functional utilitarian pieces for the game table, or artfully done props and “sculpture” of sorts that pay homage to fantasy properties, and worlds beyond. Also, flatly it is what Thomas enjoys doing and where his own expertise and passion is.
The Woodworking and Video Projects we work at, serve as “Love Letters” to the communities that they represent; with the goal of Hospitality and welcoming, through leveraging fandom and aspects of Fantasy, Tabletop Roleplaying and Video games.
The philosophy of the Tusano Trading Company is that everyone deserves something nicely made, and everyone should be welcomed to the Table, whether for food, games, company or business. The Spirit of Hospitality and the Creation of spaces welcoming of all, and an appreciation of the cultures and rituals that bring us together is at the core of what Tusano should foremost represent. Thomas Tusano – Age 35
Great Grandson of Japanese and Norwegian Immigrants; Thomas Grew up South of Boston, learning about The Industrial arts in his Grandparents Craft store. The Eldest of the Sano Grandchildren, Thomas took to his Grandfather’s chosen medium of Wood, studied Guitar Building, and got involved with the Maker Movement, eventually deciding that learning about Culture, Ritual and Mythology would allow him to Craft objects suited for modern day Heroes (and Heroines, his momma is his personal one)
When not in the Woodshop, Thomas streams his latest obsessions on Twitch, and attends various conventions finding new ways to craft his next “Love Letter” to Game Devs and Fantasy writers. And if you saw a Black truck speed by, covered in Nerd stickers and blaring shanties… No You didn’t.
